Katie has worked as an actress and professional coach since 1997 and is a member of The National Association of Teachers of Singing. Trained in both classical and belt/pop vocal techniques, Katie holds a B.A. in Theatre and Music from Brigham Young University, and an M.F.A. in Acting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She taught Fundamentals of Acting for three years at UW-Madison, as well as enrichment programs for the Children's Theatre of Madison.

Among her many leading stage roles, Katie has sung to sold out crowds as Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, Rebecca in a revival of Rags, and Ellen in Miss Saigon. Non-musical professional theatrical credits include leads in Twelfth Night, Nora, All My Sons, Arcadia, Talley's Folley,Orestes, and The Three Musketeers. Most recently she has performed with the Fort Collins Bas Bleu Theatre Company.

Katie teaches part-time as she is currently starring in her favorite role as full-time "coach" to her four young children.
